Is there a way to modify the pdf font size? My pdf downloads have a tiny font, perhaps 5-6 points, which makes printed hard-copies hard to read. (I use Windows 10 and Adobe Acrobat to view/print).

That is strange. Which wiki (assuming it's a Wikimedia one) are you trying to create PDFs from? I just tried to download a page here on mw.org, one on English Wikipedia, and one on German Wikipedia - and saw different font sizes. I filed a task so let me see if I can get some of the product folks to take a look.
