Topic on Manual talk:FAQ
translation: MediaWiki:Common.js is deleted
The document is correct. Although the page is deleted on mediawiki.org, it may be created to add that code. In fact, on every new wiki the page doesn't exist but can be created.
Thank you for reply, and more question has popped up in that case. By any chance, is there any better sentence(s) to describe the situation, that you are supposed to guess while the page has been deleted but it is there since it’s still useful ? Or, should someone de-delete the link? My reasoning: As this is a FAQ page, the frequently given “answer” should be direct and give, ideally, one-stop solution. If any guess work is required to turn to its Talk page, why we need FAQ page for?
Your advice is very helpful for me, and now I see deleted page on MediaWiki is meaningful, isn’t it? My misunderstanding as I read with my novice background, or quite defferent from deleting page in WP. I will take time and comprehend that part in the FAQ page before coming back to translate it into ja. Cheers
Pages in the MediaWiki: namespace are special, they are used by the software. You can see more information in Help:System message
Yes, I will try translate the page you pointed me to.
