There were no technical conversations about preferences at the TechCom planning meeting. It was just brought to the attention of the members, who were encouraged to participate in the public discussion in their individual capacity.
You could request that the RFC be scheduled for an IRC meeting. The easiest way to do that is to move it to the "Request IRC meeting" column on the TechCom-RFC phab board.
Ah cool, thanks! I shall wait a few days for feedback and then request an IRC meeting if it seems necessary.
