Topic on Talk:Edit Review Improvements/New filters for edit review

Hello. Could you tell me, please, why $('.mw-rcfilters-ui-changesListWrapperWidget-newChanges') is sometimes visible and sometimes invisible? What is the condition or the trigger? Thank you.

Experiencing the same trouble.

The "view newest changes" message is shown only when there are new changes to be displayed. Thus, it is invisible when there are no new changes, and it is visible when there are new changes that where produced since the list was created (and users can update the list to include them by clicking on the message).

Hm, invisible button seems a confusing solution to me. First thing I thought was: "There must be a bug". The problem is actually relevant only on small wikis where the time without new changes can last for hours (and days of course). I propose that button is there all the time, but it's frozen (grey colored) in the time of wiki's inactivity. A simple note can be added below it like "(No newer changes has been made so far)".

Thank you, Pginer-WMF, but if I understood you correctly, it just does not work. I opened the watchlist, without live updates, and waited. There were a lot of edits for 15 minutes, and the link does not appeare.

@IKhitron, thanks for your report. So, just to be clear, you are saying that View Newest Changes link does NOT appear on Watchlist for you, even when new changes have happened? On which wiki? My esteemed colleague and QA tester @Etonkovidova is having a look....

I just checked (and made a screenshot) of 'View newest changes' working on Watchlist in he.wikipedia. Sometime, the filter selections on Watchlist may be filter out the changes that otherwise would trigger 'View newest changes'. But definitely, I saw it working.

I just wanted to say that there was misunderstanding between me and Sbisson. I thought it does not work, because the link disappeared for good. It does work, don't worry. If you are interested in detailes, see Topic:Tzdnhdstrk27frof. Thank you.
