Topic on Manual talk:Pywikibot/OAuth/Wikimedia

The email address will only be visible to OAuth admins. I've updated the page to make this clear.

This page says that the contact email address supplied "will be visible", but m:Special:OAuthConsumerRegistration/propose says "Only visible to those who are approving new consumers". It would be good if these agreed with one another. --Bjh21 (talk) 20:31, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Is "will be visible" correct because while email addresses are currently only visible to OAuth admins they'll be published later? Or because "visible" in this page is implicitly qualified with "to OAuth admins"? I'd like to work out how to edit this page to make it less confusing. --Bjh21 (talk) 10:13, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

I'm saying that m:Special:OAuthConsumerRegistration/propose is the correct one. In the future, it might become fully private; see T142275 and T121330.
