Topic on Project talk:Requests

To quote from the top of this page:

Use this page for requests for:

• Promotion (to administrator, bot, bureaucrat, etc.)
• Anything else bureaucrats are needed for (is there anything?)

However, probably because of the unhelpfully vague name of this page, often people would stick into "Other" a bunch of general comments of relevance to the wider wiki, which properly belong on Project:Current issues. I noted this, but @Nemo bis reverted me claiming I was changing the purpose of the page, so seeking comment here before re-instating.

Can't you just rename it to "Requests to bureaucrats" ?

Sure, we could do that too. Presumably people had a reason to keep it at this name since it was created in 2008 though?
