trying to open a translation (existing one or starting a new one) gives me a page that only has the user controls bar ("log out", "contributions", etc.) at the top and that is otherwise blank.

apart from that, when trying to start a new translation, it doesn't even let me advance to that screen if i don't give a target article name. that used to just silently default to the source name, didn't it?

Which error do you see in the JavaScript console? (Usually it can be opened with F12.)

User:Saadbl, this is a bug in the "تعريب مجازي" gadget, which you are probably using. Please disable it in your preferences and try again.
