Hi,

Sorry about these bugs. We have several known issues with table support, which we hope to address in the future.

What happens when you try to translate Infobox automobile? I see that it exists in the French Wikipedia, so I expect it to work.

Hi,

Translating Infobox automobile does not work at all. I'll try to send a copy later.

In french, it's called "Infobox Automobile" (with A) and several entries do not correspond. For example, "engine" refers to engine type AND the displacement, while in the french version, they are TWO distinct entries. Lots of other issues like that. So, I have to publish the text BEFORE finishing it, and in some cases it takes many days, generating lots of annoying banners....

There are also lots of problems with translations of the {{conversion}} template, forcing to publish unreadable text, that has to be reread and corrected, leaving from time to time some weird readings for weeks or months ...

Don't take it bad, just trying to help.

Many thanks for your answer.

The differences in the names of the template is not important. If they are connected using an interlanguage link, this is good enough.

The parameter mapping can be done using TemplateData. See Content translation/Templates. It's a bit complicated and not perfect, but it was already done for many templates and it works.

The same can be done for the conversion templates. (Although it would be even better to skip them completely. See my proposal: Add a way to denote different desired behaviors for different types of templates.)
