The Article in case: Даневирке. By acting as usual, i.e. Double-clicking at the source paragraph only get the same Russian text as a result.

This looks like a general problem. I have just checked Danish-English and English-German and the same is happening - original text copied unaltered to the new area.

English and German languages are not enabled for Machine Translation at moment.

Thanks for your response. It seems extraordinary that I get no message on the GUI telling me that the functionality is not enabled when either trying to start a translation (which appeared to succeed) or when attempting to process a paragraph. The lack of suitable error responses is a bug.

Thanks for your input. Here, you'll see various options available (Such as Use Source text, Machine Translation..) on 3rd column. You can select one of them which suites you. We're not enabling automated translation by default for all languages.

Why don't you try the GoogleTrans gadget which interfaces with the Content Translation system and allows Google machine translation while keeping the HTML. You need to make a private version of the GoogleTrans gadget in the destination wiki common.js file of your user account. Then select a paragraph (or part of a paragraph) in the middle column of content translation, and then press the CTRL-ALT key at the same time. Consult for help on how to do this. It works for all the languages that Google translates.
