Topic on Talk:Page Previews/Flow

Hi,

I notice that the feature also works on my watchlist. It is a little bit annoying because I move my cursor a lot on my watchlist to check several edits, so many hovercards appear for nothing. Moreover, as far as I'm concerned it is not useful on watchlists because I already know all articles I watch...

I don't know if many people asked for Hovercards in watchlists, but for me this is not useful, and even annoying on the long-term.

Thanks for this useful feature on articles anyway ! Regards,

@Floflo thanks for the feedback. I created a task in our bug/feature tracking software for the product team to look at. https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T163453

If others reading could chime in with their own experiences, it would help the team and be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks =)

We've never seen many complains about it for the Navigation popups, but we do have a slightly longer popup delay there, and the mouse position also has to be fixed/stable during that period. This makes accidental triggering less likely.

I'm not sure how Hovercards/PagePreview/Popups deals with that atm.

Oh and navigation popups has a menu element which allows you to temporarily disable popups for that page, which can be handy in this situation.

Ok TheDJ and thanks. Well, we may drop this topic if I'm the only person to be annoyed, but as I didn't know, I prefered report this and see.

Thanks too,

I personally don't mind the Hovercards in the Watchlist, but I could see how it would be annoying. I recommend either increasing the delay, or adding an option to disable the Hovercards.
