MediaWiki as a first-class entity in the movement

Cindy.cicalese (talkcontribs)

The MediaWiki software provides an important platform to support the movement vision: A world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. This applies to MediaWiki as a fundamental component of Wikipedia but also to its many sister wikis and third-party wikis that are contributing to the vision. It would benefit the movement to give the software the attention it deserves to allow it to grow and thrive. The easier it is for MediaWiki to be deployed and maintained in third-party environments, the more the spread of free knowledge will be enabled.
