According to Download, the last stable version is 1.28.0. 1.23.5 is an LTS (Long term stable) release, so you may want to choose for version 1.27.0 instead as it is also an LTS release.

We are currently using mediawiki 1.23.5. Can you please let me know the latest stable version of mediawiki?
