No followup.

English translation: In the "visual editor" they could replace the "Cite your sources: <ref></ref>" button with a popup with a basic reference example (cite web) to facilitate and teach new collaborators.

The current citation sources only inserts in the text <ref></ref>, forming incomplete references (not recommended).

Correction: in "source code editor" they could replace the button "Cite your sources" with a popup with a basic reference example.

Excuse me.

The team has talked about giving editors suggestions and examples.

Are you trying to teach new editors how to write wikitext, or how to add an automatic citation?

New editors how to write references

How are these new editors seeing <ref> tags at all? When they click on the Cite button, they should be seeing a box that they can fill in (either "Automatic" or "Manual").
