Topic on Talk:Content translation

Hi!

Gave up very quickly on using this for English>Icelandic on a tablet in Safari. Switching between the original text and machine translated text just to preview the tool resulted in a strange bug, one wikilink got "stuck" on an Icelandic word, unfortunately misspelled. Without the ability to tweak the wikilinks or access source code mode, it actually takes longer to use this tool than to just copy the source code and hand-translate, but the potential for collaboration is useful.

Also, the autosave feature has resulted in the article appearing as a "work in progress" when the intention was just to try out the tool - can this be reversed?

In which article did this happen? It should be easy to edit links.

You can delete the entry by clicking the ellipsis.

Saint Valentine, the wikilink in the source code was to "la-lang", which was auto-translated to "latínu" (wrong case, should be "latína" here). Can't edit links, tweak wikilink texts or see an ellipsis using Safari on a tablet.

Thanks!

Oh, this was probably in a template, and template editing is supported only partially. This can be fixed only after publishing the first revision of the article. We plan to make it possible to edit templates more fully int he future.

Probably, yes. Some quirky behind-the-scenes template incompatibility issues with Icelandic. Thanks for checking and good luck with the project!
