To me, it seem insensible that the delta-size bars appear upon the version arrows. Because it is a delta, they should be positioned between any two versions. They show the amount of data added during transition from one version to another; any version alone got no sensible delta, as delta is a function of two (adjacent) versions. Bars upon seems sensible, if they stand for the actual size, but not the difference of size.
