Single edit tab is close, but I still have a problem. I have fresh installation MW 1.27 with Visual Editor, I'm logged in as Admnistrator but I can not see option Editing mode: in Preferences. How can I enable this option? I would like to get Visual Editor as a default editor. Thanks.
Hey. That feature was added about a year ago in 748db015 to fix T58337, and made it into MW 1.27; the option you mention sets the visualeditor-tabs preference and should be available, as long as you set $wgVisualEditorUseSingleEditTab to true in your LocalSettings.php file. If that's the case, did you also set visualeditor-enable to 1 there too?
