I just wanted to flag that I lost my point in writing this page as part of the TCG. Translations are massively important in sharing technical information so that people can collaborate, but I don't want to duplicate the many pages on translation that already exist. Is my point to explain why translations are important? When to translate all the things? I think it's the former.

I think it is useful to explain not only that translations are important, also how to write announcements in a way that helps translators, what infrastructure to use to work on translations and to contact translators... There was a very good discussion here, and I still think it contains good ideas for this page.
