Word always translated wrongly

(en-es) It always translates strings, as in string section, as "cadenas" (meaning chains) and not "cuerdas". I guess it is used a lot in computer related texts but never in music.

Is it with Yandex or Apertium?

Triplecaña (talkcontribs)

Yandex.ru (Apertium is worse).

Thanks for the feedback @Triplecaña

Content Translations relies on the different translation services for automatic translation. Since user corrections are exposed through our public API, translation services are expected to learn from those and improve over time. However, this cycle is not immediate.

In the context of a given article, this ticket explores the possibility of learning from repeated corrections made by the user on the same term. That could solve cases like the one you described.

Is there a way or tutorial to learn how phabricator works. I don't find it intuitive. I don't have developer skills whatsoever.

Amire80 (talkcontribs)

@Triplecaña, the page Phabricator may help, but what @Pginer-WMF links to is just for information and reading.

If you can just give several example sentences with these words right here, I can try passing them on to the developers of Yandex.Translate, although we cannot know when will they fix this.

And as Pau says, if you correct the text in Content Translation's two-column editing interface, it will be automatically read by these developers and eventually fixed.
