Topic on Help talk:CirrusSearch

Hi,

I've been trying to make CirrusSearch and Elasticsearch work since 4 days, I kinda want to give up now.

I have MediaWiki 1.27.0, Elasticsearch 2.3.3, CirrusSearch 0.2 (614b772) and Elastica 1.3.0.0(4607acf).

I'm stuck at this step :

Now run this script to generate your elasticsearch index:php $MW_INSTALL_PATH/extensions/CirrusSearch/maintenance/updateSearchIndexConfig.php

I have the error :

       Fetching Elasticsearch version...2.3.3...ok
       Scanning available plugins...none
       Inferring index identifier...PHP Fatal error:  Wrong parameters for Exception([string $exception [, long $code [, Exception $previous = NULL]]]) in /var/www/pool.pleskdb.ovh/vendor/ruflin/elastica/lib/Elastica/Exception/ResponseException.php on line 34

What should I do ? I can't find anything on the web about this error.

I am having the same issue. But my error just shows:

Inferring index identifier...Exception encountered, of type "Error"

MediaWiki: 1.27.1

Php: 7

elasticsearch 2.3.4

CirrusSearch: branch es2.x

Elastica: branch es2.x

I am not sure what I am looking for on the "Project:Support desk", there is nonthing there that refers to this issue that I can see.

Nothing here either. At least Project:Support desk is an open forum where you can"start a new topic" about software behavior. We mostly discuss the content of our associated help page. See ya later.
