The bundled extensions are stored in the extensions folder just like all other extensions.
Cannot load the extension in a vanilla install. Only when I download the extension into the extensions directory, wfLoadExtension( 'ParserFunctions' ) will work.
I don't find any ParserFunctions-related files in the tree, so I wonder if this extension still comes bundled with MediaWiki 1.26.3?
Just had a look, it is in included in the tarball provided. If you are using Git you indeed have to clone it separately.
Yes, sure, my bad. Before upgrading MediaWiki, I had made a backup copy of the extensions folder which I copied back after the upgrade. Under the assumption that the bundled extensions are stored somewhere else, I then deleted the ParserFunctions directory...
