- Depending on popularity. Number of views in a day. Not only the most popular, but as a parameter. For example more than 10, but less than 100 views in a day.

It is really useful for us to understand which criteria people use when looking for articles to translate. I added your comment to this ticket where ideas to provide more control over the suggestions are explored.
Regarding the 3rd point, I'm curious to know why you consider important to be able to focus on different level of popularity. Do you expect the most popular topics not being of your interest?
Also, to provide some context on the current status: Currently there are two kinds of suggestions. Those based on featured articles and suggestions based on previous translations. From what we heard from users those based on previous translations work much better, but they require users to translate a couple articles first.
To all points.
- Good articles can be also interesting to translate. And in ru wiki, for example, there is also some third level - not only featured and good but some kind of "arictle, that can be adviced". It is not "good" but also has some quality.
- Categories search can be in my opinion more interesting than the suggestions based on your previous translation. For exmple you find it interesting to translate articles about medicine. After two months you find medicine not more interesting, but you will receive the suggestions from it. And if you have some kind of chekcboxes like: very interesing, interesing, neutral, bad, hate this - it will show your current state of interests. It can be changed (adjusted) anytime you want.
- For some tranlsators - the more popularity means also more responsibility and maybe they want to start their first translations with less popular article. And anyway it can be some additional optional search parameter.
