Continuation of the translation after publication

I published the initial part of the translation, to allow access to basic information and would like to continue the translation later, but could not. Is it possible to add the ability to continue translation after the publication?

Thanks for the feedback, @Sumanai.

Currently there is not a simple way to continue a published translation, but we plan to make this process much easier in the future (this ticket includes more details).

As of now, you can use a couple of workarounds:

  • After publishing the translation, modify the translation so that it remains as a translation in progress. In that way you can continue it later. Take into account that the published article may have been changed by other editors and overwriting it later will make those changes to be lost.
  • Create a new translation, and focus only the remaining paragraphs to translate. When publishing you will given the choice to publish under your user namespace and you can later copy the content to the final article.

The above workarounds require some additional steps, but I hope they are of some help for now.
