What is the best way to insert uploaded mp3 / avi / etc or youtube video on a wikipage?

For Youtube, there is an extension: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:YouTube

For Audio, you can use the https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AudioPlayer2

There is also https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MediawikiPlayer which I haven't used that far though.

Looks like AudioPlayer2 doesn't work with external links. Only work with files uploaded to the mediawiki local directories.

Is there any other audio player that plays external links and also player that plays external links video files?

The youtube link works great.
