Is somebody interested in extensibility of the MediaWiki installer? Or even has experience with extending it? Is there a way to add more installation steps or to change the existing ones? Are there plans for future development?
I'd love to learn more about this topic. Maybe someone else too?
Osnard, Brion Vibber rewrote the installer a while back, so maybe talk to him?
Related: I was talking to Roan earlier today, and suggested that perhaps there should be a "retry" button when there's an error in the installer, in addition to the "back" and "continue" buttons already present. I figured this might be of interest to anyone working with improving the installer.
