This questions has probably been dealt with before, unfort. we didn't find trace of this disc. What is exacty the meaning of "The user needs the 'maintenance' right to access the special page." ? We have a Mediawiki 1.24.1 newly installed, 2.2.0 Maintenance extension as well, when starting the page spéciale we get "Erreur de permissions - Vous n’avez pas les droits suffisants pour réaliser l’action demandée." Is this the sort of user rights we can deal with in localsettings or is this something else, if so, where would we find more information about it? Thanks and kind regards Claudia

You need to give the appropriate group(s) the 'maintenance' right via $wgGroupPermissions (e.g. $wgGroupPermissions['bureaucrat']['maintenance'] = true;).
