Hello, I receive the following error on two computers when attempting to install this add-in. I have verified both have .net installed and one is Windows 7 and the other is WindowsXP. Any help would be appreciated.

The description for Event ID ( 11001 ) in Source ( MsiInstaller ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Product: Microsoft Office Word Add-in For MediaWiki -- Error 1001. Error 1001. Unable to get installer types in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Microsoft Office Word Add-in For MediaWiki\MediaWiki.MediaWikiConverter.dll assembly. --> Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information., (NULL), (NULL), (NULL).

Are you speaking of this plugin from Microsoft?

As far as I can see your error seems to come from an MSI installation process. A quick Google search shows that this error happens for other software packages as well. So maybe you want to ask in a forum about installation problems.

It seems like the problem can also be caused by some strangeness in .net. Here removing the software package to be installed (the Plugin in your case), then reinstalling .net Framework and then installing the software package worked. No idea how to remove any registry entries, which the plugin installer might already have created...

HI, I'm on a W7 64bit machine with .NET Framework 4.5 installed and having the same problems. I reinstalled (repair) the .NET Framework -> no effect though.

I Loaded up the MediaWikiConverter.dll with Dependecy Walker and resolved one issue with an IE.DLL (by adding the Internet Explorer Path to the PATH System Environmental variable) After resolving the one missing DLL, the dependency walker still shows this:

Error: Modules with different CPU types were found. Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

It doesnt show me which DLL has problems :(
