Template:pre is nowikifying the output of Template:tlx when the documentation is transcluded onto the template page

On Template:Section link, I'm seeing <span style="font-family:"Consolas", monospace;">{{[[Template:section link|section link]]|History of IBM|1969: Antitrust, the Unbundling of software and services}}</span> as the output of {{pre|{{tlx|section link|History of IBM|1969: Antitrust, the Unbundling of software and services}}}}. On Template:Section link/doc it displays as expected: {{section link|History of IBM|1969: Antitrust, the Unbundling of software and services}}. Not sure why the template output would be nowikified on the template page but not the template documentation page.
