The “All upcoming events” link[edit]

The “All upcoming events” link should be localizable, cf. Template:Main page/old news link. --Mormegil (talk) 15:46, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Integrating this template with Project:Calendar[edit]

Now we have Project:Calendar and it would be good to connect that content with this template in order to see all new events showing up in the homepage. The Current opportunities section could be fed with a selection of activities marked at Project:Calendar, in a similar way as we do at QA/Weekly goals. The format could be the same used for news:

yyyy-mm-dd
 • (Entry as is)

This means that we need to edit the date format of the current entries Project:Calendar, but it's not a big deal.--Qgil (talk) 16:55, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

This is now possible. I've modified {{event}} so that if it's called on this template or the home page, it displays the events formatted as you requested above. When you want to transition to the new system, simply replace the existing content on Template:New opportunities by {{#lst:Project:Calendar|MainPage}}, and voilà! On Project:Calendar, you'll need to individually mark each event you want to show on the home page (with
and
; see the few examples I marked). I've made the change. guillom 16:50, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
