Talk pages consultation 2019/Communication/Social media

From mediawiki.org

This page is for outreach to users via official channels, such as the official Wikipedia Facebook account. While we can conceivably do as many posts as we want, we don't want to overwhelm visitors and thus incur participant fatigue. Judging by the number of questions, simply asking one or two per week might suffice.

Rather than attempt to continually hunt down user editing experience, we should ask each respondent to post the number of years of experience they have with each answer, as each question will be a post in and of itself.

  • If you are aware of StructuredDiscussions (orig. Flow), do you use it? Why or why not?
  • If you are aware of standard, wikitext Talk pages, do you use them? Why or why not?
  • If you prefer using an off-wiki means of communication, why?
  • If you communicate off-wiki, what features might convince you to communicate on-wiki?
