I wrote this in the microcosm of the Android team. It's really meant to start formalizing some thoughts around conventions that have been brewing in the codebase and discussed in reviews for some time. There's currently no relation between the Android codebase and other MediaWiki repos except what Yuvi brought over when he started it AFAIK. I don't mind linking this page to the manual you referenced but for now I'd like to keep it a little looser and free form as a separate page until the team has a chance to consider it. (I just sent an email about this today and haven't seen any other activity in the thread or on this page.) I'm hoping that starting the guidelines in this way will be a constructive means for everyone on the team to be involved in a low stress discussion and build momentum around what's important to them.
