I re-reverted your changes to the Main Page. I'm not sure I follow your logic. It's called the "Wikimedia Toolserver." Is there a particular reason you feel it should be called simply "Toolserver"?

The unblock request link also seemed a bit odd for this wiki, as the tool seems to be focused on the English Wikipedia. And I'm not sure there are any users using that tool who have adminship here. We don't have many blocks here and the blocks are almost always for spamming. --MZMcBride 22:47, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

This wiki is also called Toolserver (the url toolserver.org). The reason why the unblock request link was on the Main Page is because it's for users which are blocked on the English Wikipedia but would like to be unblocked. Other organizations have their own "Toolserver", we just happened to snatch up the domain. I reverted your edit as only content related to the operations of the Toolserver is suitable for the Main Page. If it should appear on a Main Page, then obviously the English Wikipedia itself. Finally, your signature is rather colorful and obnoxious, typically on small wikis like this we block for trivial crap like that. Dispenser 03:03, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

I disagree for how much you like my signature. Consider liking it as colorful. "Toolserver" is just a name for "Tools in server", right? I've deleted User:Brandon Sky/signature as you were using it to get around the size limits. The Toolserver is German, Hosted in Amsterdam, and soon to be rivaled by WMF's Wikimedia Labs. Thus, the world doesn't revolve around the English Wikipedia. It would make far more sense adding the link into the block templates on the English Wikipedia. Dispenser 14:54, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Undeletion request

I noticed you deleted a page of mine - User:Brandon_Sky/signature - and I would like it to be undeleted because it was a legitimate page.

• It was a desirable workaround for the MediaWiki software's 255-character-long signature limit.
• Even though it includes deprecated HTML tags (<font>), I'll try to use <span> instead.
• As a result of the deletion, at the end of this message to the bottom is my new signature.
• The red alert icon(s) to the left isn't using deprecated HTML and it is using the <span> tag.
• Please refrain from deleting legitimate pages, because sysops have the ability to block users from editing if they remove content from ToolSERVER Wiki without good notice repeatedly.
• The log entry: 14:04, 20 April 2012 Dispenser (Talk | contribs) deleted User:Brandon Sky/signature ‎ (non-use: underiserable workaround for the signature size limit, includes deprecated HTML)

The purpose of this wiki is to document useful information about Tools and internal operations of the Toolserver. The templates you've created over the past few days constitutes about half of the edits in the last 30 days. Those templates are more or less useless for small wikis like this. You're time is better spent at mediawiki.org developing a template pack for new wikis. Dispenser 03:47, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Done. I recreated User:Brandon Sky/signature for a little cooling off period. We don't have a real salting system so I prefer you not to salt it. But you will if it becomes a problem after the page gets deleted. --BrandonSky(tec) 14:31, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
