Vector 2022: Pinned sidebar for anonymous users

[edit]

Hello, thank you for the Vector 2022 skin! I love the slick design! Since settings like $wgDefaultUserOptions['vector-main-menu-pinned'] = 1; currently don't seem to have any effect on anonymous users, is there another way to achieve the default pinned menu state, like on https://sanat.csc.fi/ - maybe via MediaWiki:Common.js? Thanks, cheers and all the best! Till Kraemer (talk) 06:53, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

PS: It seems to be that code. Till Kraemer (talk) 07:30, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I took the liberty of adding this approach to the menu pinning options. Till Kraemer (talk) 08:16, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Remove ability to pin/unpin anything?

[edit]

Would it be possible for the administrator to decide on where the various things go and remove the option to change them?

I'd like the following permanent settings - "Main menu" and "Appearance" hidden, but "Contents" pinned to sidebar.

Nearly all visitors are anonymous (which looks as though it may complicate things). Jonathan3 (talk) 11:32, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

"Main menu" submenus

[edit]

The "Contents" thing has a ">" to press to expand to see sub-headings.

Is it possible to do similar for the "Main menu"? Thanks. Jonathan3 (talk) 11:38, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

font-family custom fonts

[edit]

In at least 4 instances (ex. .mw-body h1), font-family is not taking browser settings of serif/sans-serif, but is overwriting with Linux Libertine, Georgia, Times,... with browser setting being last.

Please remove custom fonts from the theme CSS. A.kamburov (talk) 16:24, 12 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
