Recent changes table
[edit]We'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea of adjusting Recent Changes' layout (and possibly other pages) to use a table with columns, instead of the current structure, on desktop.
- Do you think a table could be easier to read?
- Do you recall the first time you saw a list of edits on Wikipedia (e.g. Recent Changes, page history)? Was it easy to parse what you were looking at, or was it confusing?
- What downsides could you imagine to this change?

- Thanks for asking. Note only few people know you are gathering responses. The project is mentioned only on Moderator Tools/Newsletter with low participants. Maybe the newsletter should be announced on Tech News or Technical Bulletin? --wargo (talk) 13:04, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- I just learned about this project, @Samwalton9 (WMF) 🙁
- I actually prefer the dense layout where I can see more changes at once without too much scrolling. And I'm a little disappointed that it's still not going to be possible to open up diffs on the same page, below every revision line. Talking about things like m:User:Ponor/inline-diff-inline-patrol. Also, tables on mobile - how's that going to work? ponor (talk) 01:18, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
