• content from the previous /Hackathons page (as it was before June 30 2017), chapter "Suggestions/ Ideas from Hackathon Participants"

• content from the previous /Hackathons/Tips_for_organizers page (as it was before June 30 2017)
• content from Hackathons/Suggesting projects created by Johan (WMF), who was nice enough to allow me to merge his idea into the new page (see our chat on his talk page)

• new content I created by myself, drawn from experiences of organizing previous hackathons, especially the Wikimedia Hackathon 2017 Vienna

I hope that the new structure created in this project not only proves to be helpful, but that it will be built upon, edited, improved and extended over time – like any good wiki page should be!

Any use of a page that isn't just to create it after the event and then forget about it is good use, as far as I'm concerned, and I had sort of already forgotten that page existed myself.

I am glad to hear that. Part of my job in this project was to dig up older pages with hackathon-organization related content, and I discovered yours with the help of the handy special pages prefix tool :) I will post the the list of all the pages I found during these wiki-excavations over the next few days, most likely on the (as of this moment not yet created) page Hackathons/Handbook :)
