This page seems a bit moribund, and since I'm about to need this functionality, I'm going to cheerlead a bit, and see if I can whip up some enthusiasm, if not some code. --Baylink 23:52, 12 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd love to see this done. --Sdfisher 01:05, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I'm working on the hula project and we use MediaWiki. I'm looking for a way to export our articles into docbook format as well. I will have to start coding on my own soon, since I can't find any mature/promising products on the web. I'd be happy to collaborate with someone or contribute to an existing project. It needs to be done, one way or another.

Yes this could bring together the ease of callaborative editing of MediaWiki, with the various formats and clean look of DocBook exports. I need this too! -- Harry Wood 11:43, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
I totally agree and think this is a brilliant addition of code. Has anyone started work on this yet? I think that this functionality would benefit so many people. How can I help? - 18.104.22.168 02:51, 26 August 2005
Has there been any progress in this idea? I am very interested in a feature like this. Haven't been able to find a WikiWiki with said capabilities. Except maybe DocBookWiki which doesn't seem to be in the same class or direction that this topic is discussing. And MoinMoinWiki which has export to DocBook but not much else. There's a link to 'wt2db' or 'WikiText2DocBook' http://www.tldp.org/wt2db but I can't work out whether there's any code/binaries there to download.
This site seems to be part of 'The Linux Documentation Project' website... does that mean this is a command which aways/sometimes available on linux? Available for windows somehow? Where to get the code? Does it work well with MediaWiki wiki text format? -- Harry Wood 11:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
End of content from meta.wikimedia.org.

Seems to be very simple and straightforward procedure, but there seems to be no ready-to-use stylesheets. The initiative here is not exactly what I want. Are there any 3rd-party stylesheet collections? MediaWiki syntax is very popular, so having one basic stylesheet is enough to export to many similar wiki syntaxes. --Dmitry Katsubo 11:42, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
