Calculation vs. presentation[edit]

As I asked: the code has two parts, the part which parses the dumps to produce the data and the part which produces the reports. We are discussing by report, because that's what users understand, but I suspect that there is an intersection between the various reports, i.e. the underlying metric which may exist or not. I also want to raise the same point per Ijon's arguments: are we discussing just calculation or both calculation and presentation? Personally I answered presuming that calculation part will remain the same but presentation will be changed. If calculation part will evolve as well, I would support making sure that all reports are appropriately calculated before starting work on improving presentation — NickK (talk) 10:04, 14 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
The problem is, all this exercise is about redoing things from scratch because people don't want to work on Perl script. So there is no way to ask them to only work on the calculation side. Nemo 10:30, 14 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikisource stats[edit]

There are few additional NS in all wikisource like Index and Page. Are there any plan to represent those stats in next version? there are one example our wikisource stats here, https://tools.wmflabs.org/phetools/statistics.php. Jayantanth (talk) 18:00, 15 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

yes indeed, that's why the first local project I want to show this discussion is the wikisource in my mother tongue; on many occasion we agreed we needed or we used additional stats than those in the current platform.--Alexmar983 (talk) 13:10, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Circulating information[edit]

here I requested to show this page on the meta main page. I leave some messages in some local village pumps too, unless you are not planning some mass delivery message...--Alexmar983 (talk) 12:58, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia-Statistik Deutsch[edit]

The Wikipedia-Statistik Deutsch are currently ending with the values for October 2016. When will the data for November 2016 come? And for December 2016?
So much to do, and so little time ...

Nice one! "busy script" error message, which doesn't resolve. Johnbod (talk) 12:18, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Erik is updating Wikistats as much as he's able to with his new schedule, with the hope that we can transition some of the use cases to Wikistats 2.0 very soon. We're relatively close to a first release of Wikistats 2.0, with some basic metrics. This will happen either at the end of September or soon thereafter, and will have updated statistics for de.wikipedia and all the other wikis, up through the last full month available. 20 recently absent wikipedians, ordered by number of contributions[edit]

I noticed that 20 recently absent wikipedians, ordered by number of contributions is no longer updated (user: Wavelength) but cannot figure out if it was dropped. Is there a summary somewhere of which stats are still being updated? Thanks i advance. Ottawahitech (talk) 15:53, 12 October 2017 (UTC) Please ping meReply

Ottawahitech there is no list, sorry. And that report hasn't made it into the first metrics we're moving to Wikistats 2.0, unfortunately. But, the good news is that it should be easy to do. Is this something that's important to you and your work? Milimetric (WMF) (talk) 12:43, 26 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
