Getting featured content from Wikipedia with Python dark mode error
[edit]Issue Description The dark mode makes the code snippets on 'https://api.wikimedia.org/wiki/Getting_featured_content_from_Wikipedia_with_Python' difficult to read. Some parts, especially the black text in light mode, blend into the background of the code snippets. It appears this could be fixed by setting the code snippets' background to dark grey or soft black instead of bright white when in dark mode. --Gameking99 (talk) 16:32, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting us know! This page has recently been moved to PAWS (https://public-paws.wmcloud.org/User:APaskulin_(WMF)/API-Portal/wikifeeds-tutorial.ipynb), which unfortunately also doesn't support dark mode, as part of deprecating the API Portal. However, we'll be working on a permanent home for this tutorial in the near future and will be sure to test for dark mode compatibility. APaskulin (WMF) (talk) 18:01, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding! I’m really looking forward to being able to read it in dark mode in the future. Gameking99 (talk) 18:41, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
