Hi! I'm requesting the translation administrator rights to make small changes in the text (like correcting some mistakes and adding missing <translate> tags) and mark them for translation (currently it takes too long till anyone comes and marks a page for translation). I'm a translator on translatewiki.net, on meta-wiki and here, and being a translation admin would help me a lot (I would be able to improve the source pages so that they could be fully translated into other languages). I've read the documentation on meta-wiki and translated some of it, so generally I know how all these things work (e.g., there are smileys like this --> :) which need another bracket in the Translate extension, so they need to be put into the "tvar" tag)--Piramidion (talk) 11:24, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

- m:Meta:Translation_administrators, m:Meta:Translate extension. The work in Translate extention here and there doesn't really differ. At least, the essentials are the same.--Piramidion (talk) 14:56, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Please read Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation example, Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation administration - these (and other pages you will see in navbox) are actually the main docs to the extension. Especially the latter page as it says how the tagging of certain elements should be done. Like in the edit you mentioned on Meta's nomination you tagged section names a wrong way. Once you read these docs you are less likely to repeat such mistakes ^_^ --Base (talk) 20:19, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Like I said in my Meta's nomination, the mistake I've made was caused by actual translation admins' mistakes, which I simply reproduced (because I thought it should be done that way). See also VisualEditor/Portal/Keyboard shortcuts - the sections are uneditable as well. This mistake is quite common, I guess... Not done for now, very little activity on Meta these months and on quite atypical pages even: we can't really judge. No big deal, just ask again when you feel ready; in the meanwhile you can also help with our migration project by marking some pages for translation and importing old translations on marked pages. :) Nemo 20:28, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
