User:MediaWikiMonitor[edit]

Requested user-rights: Bot.

Hey there - I'm requesting a bot called MediaWikiMonitor. It basically tells people if they haven't signed their posts, made too many edits (see here for the definition of too many edits and how many minutes the edits have been made in) in a short time, tells people if they haven't categorized a page/file and it clears the sandbox. The original bot wasn't made by me and its source code is available at https://github.com/banana439monkey/wikimonitor

I would be leaning towards not approving this bot to run on the wiki because; 1) A friendly, personal reminder is a lot better if the person continually forgets to sign their posts, Although usage towards Flow stops this needing to be done. 2) Editing "too much" isn't a problem, nor do we have a policy against it at this wiki. 3) We already have a bot clearing out Project:Sandbox. I concur with Peachey88 for the edits per minutes and the signature points. --Dereckson (talk) 22:53, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
