User: MacFan4000[edit]

Requested user-rights: Administrator.

I am a very active Translation Administrator and am autopatrolled. I belive I could be helpful with these rights (reverting vandalism etc,). For example I have hidden plenty of spam and off topic items on the support desk, and it would be nice to be able to delete those items rather than just hide them. Is anyone going to review this? MacFan4000 (talk) 17:17, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Neutral Neutral Please be patient, the request was only open for a couple of days. I looked over your contribs and would not be opposed to granting this, but want to see what others think as well. --Skizzerz 22:32, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Oppose Oppose - Concerns about maturity, patience, and communication skills, and smaller concerns about hat-collecting, and not actually needing the tools (spam posts really should just be hidden - the equivalent of reversion). Evidence: Previously blocked on our Phabricator (for impulsive changes, edit-warring, removing the bugmeister as a subscriber on tasks, assigning tasks to people without asking), currently blocked on upstream phabricator, and previously has had admin-rights removed on an external wiki for communication issues and similar problems to those we experienced on phabricator. Essentially: acting way too quickly, without due hesitation/caution/self-doubt. I suggest trying again in a few years after demonstrating quiet-patience and extra-diligent actions (such as starting this user_rights page at 3 instead of 2, and spellcheck). Admins need to demonstrate quality, not quantity. Sorry :-( But thank you for your efforts. –Quiddity (talk) 16:16, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
