Requested user-rights: Administrator.

I request temporary admin rights for 48 hours. I'm importing pages from meta per my transwiki importer rights above but need to tweak some histories where talk pages existed here prior to the imports. I need to be able to complete history merges/revdel some insignificant histories (such as the move of a page to an archive prior to importing which messes up the history) or move with a suppressed redirect, which I can currently do only with my bot.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 15:52, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest non-temporary admin right, the user is active and working on the inport of pywikipedia documentation, don't see a reason not to suggest normal adminship is appropriate. User is also admin on several wikimedia projects. Snowolf 15:56, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn't requested regular admin rights because I don't do a lot (read any) anti-vandal work, which seemed to be the normal reason for giving non-devs the rights here, and I didn't want to seem like I just was gathering rights; but if a crat wants to give me the rights generally, I won't decline as they are useful in pagemoves and sorting out histories with the pages I'm working with and I probably will end up asking again at some point if it's temporary. Either way is fine with me, whatever dev/crats here want.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 16:19, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Done There's no reason why this needs to be temporary! Reedy 20:04, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
