Requested user-rights: Bureaucrat.

Hello. I requested the bureaucrat access here about eighteen months ago. It was felt at the time that there were enough active bureaucrats, and that the load was being handled. I'm not sure that's entirely the case anymore; we do have some active 'crats, but the most recent rename request took almost a week. I'm around here quite often, and I have experience with the bureaucrat access on multiple WMF projects, so I think I'd be able to help in this area. I'm not a MediaWiki developer, though, and I understand if others feel that's a problem. Thanks for your input. —Anonymous Dissident^Talk 02:41, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure about what the other bcrats here think, but I feel that you've matured quite a bit from the last time you requested bcrat privileges here. I seem to be the main one patrolling Project:Requests, and sometimes it slips under my radar and goes untouched for a week or even more! Having another active set of eyes on the page certainly won't harm anything, and I trust that you know how to use it responsibly considering your bureaucrat access elsewhere in the wmf. I do, however, suggest that you create some criteria for granting renames (like I have on my user page) just so you have something to refer back to in those "iffy" cases. I'd also recommend that you follow the advice on the box on top of the Requests page and leave other promotions up to devs, or at least promotions that cannot be reversed (aka sysop, bcrat, and coder). I think it'd be a sound idea to structure some common criteria for renames. That way, there are no disparities in the way things are conducted and the bureaucrats are in sync.
