Mobile-Web: Gather, a new feature for creating and sharing lists of articles, is beta launching soon. For details check the FAQ
Mobile-Web: Like Popups (Hovercards), in alpha mode you can now use a horizontal swipe gesture on an internal link to bring up an infobox with quick information about the linked page

Updates[edit]

Wikimedia Hackathon 2015 is coming soon in Lyon. Check mobile planned project on phabricator so far and join the task force on: shrinkify MobileFrontend responses, experimenting with watchlists, new forms of editing.
Mobile-Web: Allowing IP edit cross all projects has been discussed/voted on meta. Further implementation details are tasked on phabicator
Mobile-Web: Images removed from userprofile as per the ongoing discussion on meta forum, and on phabricator. There will be further research required to define other alternatives on userpage on mobile. More comments could be added to Structured profiles talk page

Mobile-Web: WikiGrok launching new experience with X and Y
Mobile-Web: Infoboxes in Alpha mode (<probably link to a help page for stable/beta/alpha modes in mobile >), which are generated with data from Wikidata, now contains a link to the Wikimedia Commons category
Mobile-Web: The mobile main menu was redesigned in alpha mode (now it links to a the special page Special:MobileMenu)
Mobile-Apps: Read more scores 15.4% clickthrough rate, vs 10.4% for Read Next on Wikipedia Android, as per a recent research. (<Shouldn't this be in "Testing" section as a testing result?>)
Mobile-Apps: New iOs realease with X and Y updates, Android release with X and Y updates

Mobile-Apps: For better reading experience, we are removing text in brackets in the first line of articles, as an example Bern article currently looks like this, the text examines better readability and compilation of information when it is rendered like this. It's not supposed to affect editing via app, when a user clicks edit, they see the original text as displayed on desktop. Details are discussed on mobile-l.
