Solr based Search[edit]

Nik Everett and Chad Horohoe have started work to replace our current mostly home grown high performance Search backend with the intent of leveraging Solr, a popular open source search tool to provide a more fault tolerant, faster, and more relevant search while reducing our dependency on high end servers.
