<img> in site notice?[edit]

Anyone know why the <img> tag doesn't get passed through as raw HTML in Manual:$wgSiteNotice? The whole element is printed as it's text and not rendered. Thanks! --Danbedford 01:39, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does MediaWiki:Sitenotice Override This?[edit]

It seems like if both $wgSiteNotice and MediaWiki:Sitenotice are defined, MediaWiki:Sitenotice is the only one displayed.

Can anyone else verify this? My testing is currently on version 1.13.0 and 1.13.1— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.255.98.82 (talk • contribs)

There's a precedence system detailed on Manual:Interface/Sitenotice. —Emufarmers(T|C) 23:25, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Caching of Sitenotice[edit]

On my local Wiki the SiteNotice displays on every page a (different) link to Wikipedia depending on {{FULLPAGENAMEE}}. But the link is not accurate all times. It seems that it is cached. Can i and how can i manipulate this behaviour? I looked through many settings but didn't find the right one. Thanks in advance. --85.178.82.77 23:26, 21 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have the same problem {{PAGENAME}} is displayed as "sitenotice" for a while regardless of the actual page. The same behavior occurs when I use <choose><option>... in MediaWiki:sitenotice, the randomselection will not change a long time. --WiMu 10:08, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
