Wikifarm[edit]

Does it matter if you have all the wikis on a wiki farm use the same cache directory? Leucosticte (talk) 05:18, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Yes, this is a per-wiki-instance setting. A standard wikifarm setup that we use has for each wiki-instance its own root folder with most files being symbolic links, except the localsettings file and the media/images and cache folders. G.Hagedorn (talk) 07:39, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

rebuildLocalisationCache.php[edit]

It's worth mentioning here, or better in Localisation#Caching, if one has (not) to run the script when first setting the cache (personally, I run it to create the CDB files): the script only says «Useful if you disabled automatic updates using $wgLocalisationCacheConf['manualRecache'] = true;». --Nemo 06:30, 5 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
