question about specific page protections
[edit]I don't know if this is where to post a question about protecting pages, but here goes. I have a wiki where I intend the use to be mostly as follows.... Every member of my wiki can read personal pages (Mary's page, Paul's page, etc). Many pages will have personal information about members of the wiki, i.e., Mary's page has Mary's info. I want Mary's pages to be protected so only the sysops and Mary can edit them (but other members can still read them). And Paul's pages protected so only the sysops and Paul can edit them (and other members can read them).
How can I do this? Christy Ann I have a login for miraheze but apparently not for mediawiki. 76.76.229.23 (talk) 08:23, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
Please remove protection
[edit]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
This page has been protected for over 10 months already, which should be more than long enough to deter any would-be vandals. VeenM64 (talk) 00:24, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
How to view wikitext without editing?
[edit]I vaguely remember being able to for a protected page. I cannot find any information on it now, however. Since I mostly work from a mobile browser, knowing how to type the URL would be the most beneficial way for me to do so; and I am not getting anywhere by just clicking the locked edit button (which I think was how I had done it before). Might anybody have an answer? BlueCaper (talk) 23:21, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
