A MediaWiki több billentyűparancsot is kínál a műveletek hatékony, egér használata nélküli elvégzéséhez. Ez a lap a MediaWiki alaprendszerének és kiterjesztéseinek alapértelmezett angol nyelvű billentyűparancsait ismerteti.
Minden billentyűparancshoz szükség van egy „módosítóbillentyűre” és egy „hozzáférési billentyűként” használt karakterre. A módosító egy vagy több olyan billentyű, amelyet nyomva kell tartani az utolsó karakter leütése közben. A konkrét módosítóbillentyűk a webböngészőtől és az operációs rendszertől függően eltérnek, ahogy azt az alábbi táblázat részletezi. Az egyes billentyűparancsoknál a hozzáférési billentyű karaktere minden operációs rendszeren azonos; ezek a következő szakaszban vannak felsorolva.

Például Linuxon a Firefoxban tartsd lenyomva az Alt és a Shift billentyűt az utolsó karakter leütése közben (például Alt+⇧ Shift+Z a Kezdőlaphoz). Macen a Safariban tartsd lenyomva a Control és az Option billentyűt az utolsó karakter leütése közben (Control+⌥ Option+Z). Windows alatt az Internet Explorerben elég az Alt billentyűt lenyomva tartani az utolsó karakter leütése közben. Más rendszereken ezek közül bármelyik módszer működhet. Előfordulhat, hogy többféle módosítóbillentyűt is ki kell próbálnod, amíg megtalálod a működőt, mivel ugyanazon a rendszeren a különböző hozzáférési billentyűkhöz eltérő módosítóbillentyűkre lehet szükség.
MediaWiki-billentyűparancsok
Az alábbi táblázat a MediaWiki alapértelmezett billentyűparancsait sorolja fel. Az első oszlop azt mutatja, hol használható a billentyűparancs. A második oszlop azt magyarázza el, hogy mit csinál a billentyűparancs. A harmadik oszlop azt mutatja, melyik billentyűt kell a módosítóbillentyűvel együtt lenyomnod a billentyűparancs használatához. Az utolsó oszlop megnevezi azt a rendszerüzenetet vagy a MediaWiki névtérben található lapot, amelyben a billentyűparancs meg van határozva. Ha a harmadik oszlop üres, az adott művelethez nincs alapértelmezett billentyűparancs.
A rendszerüzenet az elem id attribútuma alapján azonosítható, és a gyorsbillentyű működéséhez nincs szükség további kódra.
Ha billentyűparancsot szeretnél hozzáadni egy fel nem sorolt kiterjesztéshez, az elemvizsgálóval keresd meg a id attribútumát.
