UrlShortener screen

The UrlShortener extension provides a URL shortening service for wiki users.

For any page on the wiki (or on a configured set of other domain names), a short URL can be obtained.

For each short URL, a QR code is also made available, and QR codes can also be generated independently of short URLs. They are constrained to the same set of domain names as the short URLs.

Usage

From a wiki page

1. Click the Hent forkortet URL link in the tools' menu (this is present on all wiki pages)
2. This opens a dialog window containing the short URL, which can be copied with the Kopiér button
3. A QR code image is also available to download

From Special:UrlShortener

1. Go to Special:UrlShortener
2. Paste your long URL into the text field
3. Press Forkort button
4. Shortened URL is then displayed and available for use
