English: Slides from a talk by J. Nathan Matias to the Wikimedia Analytics / Research Data / Showcase on July 16, 2014. These slides show an overview of the work of the Center for Civic Media, describe two projects in crowdsourced content creation (NewsPad and Eventful), and then describe a series of projects that use data to provide transparency on gender disparities in content and support broader diversity in crowd-created resources like Wikipedia.
